Dirty Doering

FANCY SOME DIRTY TALK?

There are those people who are naturally destined to change things, to question things, to push things forward. Dirty (Velten) Doering is such a person. He has a certain. A natural visionary with an uncanny knack for knowing what makes people tick, he’s not just a DJ; he’s an icon, an entrepreneur, and a cornerstone of Berlin’s legendary electronic music scene. Say “Bar 25” or “Katermukke” anywhere in the world, and you’ll summon a knowing smile from ravers who’ve danced their nights away to his unmistakable beats.

Born in Leipzig and raised in Baden-Baden, Velten stepped behind the decks at just 15. By 21, Berlin called — and Dirty Doering was born. From early days at Sternradio to after-hours that blurred into legend, his name began to travel. With I Would in 2010, the signal went global. Yet it was Bar 25 where his role as a driving force of the underground truly took shape. Tracks like Casino Aquatique, Ete Pluvieux,Cape of Good Hope, Emma Wong, If I Could I Would and many more carried that unmistakable Spree and Dirty energy far beyond the city limits.

In 2011, alongside Sascha Cawa, he launched Katermukke, a label that quickly became a global sensation. Festivals, clubs, and showcases across every continent followed.

Splitting time between Berlin and Cape Town, he keeps connecting scenes and people.. Dirty Doering is a character artist by the book. His sound is as succinct as the loud laughter and as surprising as the knee-high white energy socks that he likes to wear behind the booth. He is undoubtedly a sommelier of electronic music and, depending on the setting and set, sounds so deep, so driving, so groovy, and like 80s synths - but always extremely enchanting and when Dirty plays, it seems as if the dancers leave space and time and are Lost in Music!

His discography reflects that same versatility. With his Long Player Euch die Uhren, uns die Zeit, he laid in 2018 the foundation for a more refined creative phase. In 2023, Last Exit Space — a full-length collaboration with Niconé — expanded his sound into cinematic, cosmic territory and finally Riding into the Unknown, in 2025 their third long player — a forward-driven, emotionally charged project rooted firmly on and around the dancefloor

Up to 2026, Dirty has built a catalogue of over 200 releases +++  including standout club cuts like Emma Wong, Acid Freaks,  Cape Town Skyline, Skywalker, Dingsi Dongsi, Dongsi Dingsi, and the Remix of MMXX, as well as the Stellar Remix for Martin Eyerer — all crafted for peak-time tension and release, and proven across dancefloors worldwide. His rework of Es wird wieder gut  for Max Raabe further showcases his rare ability to bridge seemingly distant musical worlds with effortless style.
